The Responder Info Window

The Responder Info Window is where you identify your home automation controllers, devices, install your devices, and edit properties of devices. This is a general description of the window, the fields, and options.

Name	You can provide any name for an event. Event names do not need to be unique.
Description	Optional notes about the event.
When	This is the action that triggers the responder to perform its actions. The trigger can be a device operation like a motion sensor signaling “On”. Also, for the Mac schedule, the trigger can be something Mac-related, such as when the Mac wakes up, goes to sleep, you login or use Fast User Switching.
Actions	Typical actions taken by a controller are turning lights on and off, or dimming and brightening. The Mac can also take other actions, such as sending email or instant messages (even to a cell phone), logging, opening web pages and files, running scripts and more.
